The accident occurred at Monday 10:15 a.m. at Airport Boulevard and Old Lake Mary Road.

The 9:15 a.m. northbound train from Sand Lake Road was carrying eight passengers, but no one was injured in the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the car was going around the railroad traffic arm when the back of the car was clipped by the train, knocking the bumper off of the car, according to officials.

The driver of the car was ticketed in the crash, troopers said.

The northbound and southbound railroad tracks have been cleared. The train was not damaged.
