ORLANDO, Fla. – The 25th annual Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando kicks off Friday night. Nearly 1,000 "scareactors" will be scattered throughout the park to give guests a big thrill.
"We have 9 houses this year, bigger than we've ever had, the streets are full, we have 2 roaming groups, 5 different zones, more chain saws then we've ever had before," said Show Director, Charles Gray.
This year, you'll witness things like the ultimate battle of evil vs. evil in Freddy vs. Jason and relive casualties from the 5th season of the hit TV series, The Walking Dead. The experience in that how even has a stamp of approval from the Executive Producer and Director of the show.
"It's authentic to the show so re-creating the sets, re-creating specific moments, it's a fan's dream come true," said Greg Nicotero, Executive Producer and Director of The Walking Dead.
There is no shortage of frightening moments at Halloween Horror nights this year. From face-masked criminals in "The Purge" to sinister scenes from "Insidious", Universal Orlando is pulling out all the stops for the 25th year of the event.
"This gives us a great opportunity to look back at the last 25 years, bring back the scariest, most popular icons, creatures, monsters, rooms, décor, everything and piling it into these amazing mazes," said Gray.
Halloween Horror Nights 25 runs on 30 select nights from September 18-November 1.
