BUSHNELL, Fla. – A collision involving a camper and a train in Bushnell caused the closure of railroad crossings Wednesday, Sumter County Fire and Emergency Medical Services officials said.
The initial impact happened Wednesday afternoon at Central Avenue and the train came to a stop near Noble Avenue, according to fire officials.

Major traffic congestion was reported in the area. Officials said the accident caused the closures of the railroad crossings at Seminole Avenue, Central Avenue and U.S. 301.
The railroad crossings that were open Wednesday evening were Belt Avenue and C.R. 542, officials said.
