ORLANDO, Fla. – Downtown Orlando is well known for it's nightlife, but those taking part need to keep their purses and wallets close.
Using the city of Orlando's new open data website, we tracked specific crimes around the city down to specific neighborhoods.
In 2015, nearly 1,500 crimes happened in the Central Business District, most of them theft cases.

Of the 48 purse snatchings that happened in the city, 11 happened downtown.
It's also where 198 people had their pockets picked, more than any other part of town.
"That was a panic unlike anything I've ever felt before," Amanda Shaffer told News 6, speaking about the night her pocket was picked.
She was with friends at a downtown bar she said, when someone stole her phone right from her purse.
"I felt violated because I knew I had it on me," she said. "I turned and it was gone."
Car Break-Ins
Last year The City Beautiful had 2,655 car break-ins. Some 280 of those happened in the Florida Center Neighborhood, a heavy tourist area and home to the Prime Outlets, Universal Studios and Fun Spot.
Lt. Roger Brennan with the Orlando Police Department says knowing where the crime is happening is the first step in stopping it.
"It really does help us target our efforts because you want to police as efficiently and effectively as you can," he said.
Credit/Debit Card Fraud
Last year there were 446 cases of credit card fraud in Orlando. Of those cases, 77 happened in the neighborhood of the Mall at Millenia, the largest amount in one area. "Bad guys are getting very creative, and we have to adjust our policing styles and get just as creative," Lt. Brennan said.
Burglaries
There were more than 2,500 burglaries in Orlando last year. One hundred and seventy-seven of those happened in Metrowest, the largest amount in one area.
Retired professional baseball player Sixto Lezcano and his wife were victims. "You feel violated," he said. "It's not right for other people to violate your inner circle, your life, what you've worked for all your life."
