ORLANDO, Fla. – Multiple people were hurt in a crash involving a bus and an SUV near Disney's Animal Kingdom, Reedy Creek Fire Rescue officials said.
The crash happened at 6 p.m. Saturday at Sherberth Road and Osceola Parkway. The road was shut down Saturday evening.
Troopers said the crash involves an Isuzu SUV that was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Sherbeth Road. The bus, which had 16 people on board, was traveling north on Sherbeth.

The vehicles collided head-on and both caught fire, troopers said.

Eight people from the bus were taken to Celebration Hospital. Two adults and a child from the SUV were taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center. Troopers said the injuries ranged from minor to serious.

Charges are pending against the driver of the SUV as the crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
The Florida Highway Patrol, Reedy Creek Fire Rescue personnel and Osceola County Fire Rescue personnel were at the scene. Tow trucks also arrived Saturday evening.
The bus is owned by Super Transportation of Florida LLC, troopers said.
