2 found dead in Palm Coast home ID'd

Investigation underway at Slowdrift Turn home

PALM COAST, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff's Office identified the two people found dead Thursday inside a Flagler County home.

Deputies said Kyle Eyrich, 57, and his wife, Colleen Eyrich, 56, were found inside of a home on Slowdrift Turn in Palm Coast.

Deputies said a call was received after 4:30 p.m. Thursday from a neighbor who had not seen the couple in a few weeks.

Autopsies will determine the causes of death, deputies said.

Deputies arrived late Thursday to see the once high school sweethearts dead inside their home.

"A neighbor started receiving mail inappropriately at his residence for his neighbor. He went to return the mail, he then looked and saw that their was a lot of mail that was piling up. He began to get concerned that he hadn't seen the neighbors in a considerable period of time," said Jim Troiano, Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

In fact, investigators believe the couple had been inside the home since early July.

"Yeah, I was shocked. It's a shame," said Robert Traister.

Neighbors like Robert Traister said the middle aged couple lived on the street for at least 10 years and were well known to law enforcement.

"There's always police here quite often," he said.

"We've been to the home well over 50 times in the past two years. A lot of it domestic related, a lot of it related to mental health illness and many arrests have been made," said Troiano.

But no arrests in this case, as deputies said how the couple died is still under investigation. Their names have also not been released.

"We know that there is no forced entry to the home, things seemed to be isolated or related to that home.  So, to our residents in that area we have no concern at all for your safety," said Troiano.

No other details were given.
