APOPKA, Fla. – Apopka police spent Friday morning looking for a 6-foot-long snake in Wekiva Park Townhomes.
Someone called police claiming to have seen what looked like a python. Fortunately, those snakes aren't venomous.
"That's scary. Very scary," said Bev, who didn't wish to give her last name.
She said residents normally see bears around the neighborhood, but rarely any snakes, especially not one that big.
Police never found the snake, and anyone who sees it is asked to call the Apopka Police Department or animal control.
