Video shows man being followed before fatal shooting, police say

Police seek public's help in identifying vehicle

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was fatally shot after leaving The Beacham in March and now police are looking for the occupants of a car they believe was following him when he left the club, according to a news release.

Travis Theophilus Turner, 28, was fatally shot March 10 at 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Orange Blossom Trail.

Orlando Police said surveillance video evidence shows another car following Turner's car as he drove away from the club. That car pulled past Turner's vehicle near the intersections where he was shot, according to a news release. Police said the shooter might have been in that car.

The vehicle appears to be a dark-colored sedan. Police said the car matches the description provided by a witness at the scene who was not connected to the shooting.

"We do not have a motive and numerous people associated with the victim have been interviewed. He was involved in an altercation in the weeks leading up to this incident and those other people have also been interviewed, but at this time there is nothing to link a particular suspect to this homicide," the Orlando Police Department said in a news release.

Officials believe someone could have information about the crime, so they have released the surveillance video in hopes that someone will be able to identify it.

Turner's family pleaded for the shooter to come forward in the days following his death.

"The person who did that, can you please come forward and just turn yourself in because whatever happened to him, it didn't have to happen, and you didn't have to do this to him," cousin Danyelle Roberts Turner said. "Could you please just turn yourself in?"
