A Pennsylvania man who escaped from a halfway house and hid in a dumpster eventually had to be rescued from a garbage truck, reports WCAU.
The 33-year-old man was rescued by firefighters who took two hours of sorting through trash to reach him in the truck's compactor section.
Philadelphia Police said the man was listed in critical condition with injuries to his hip, abdomen and legs, but could be seen waving his arms as he was taken away on a stretcher.
