TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A 33-year-old man repeatedly stabbed a woman in the head and neck because she refused to have sex with him, police said.
Titusville Police Department officials said Benjamin Wright stabbed the woman at his home on the 400 block of Loxley Court. Authorities said the 57-year-old victim was a guest at Wright's home.

Police said Wright called 911 around 4:20 a.m. Saturday saying that the victim was bleeding everywhere.
The victim was treated by first responders then flown to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. She said that Wright tried to have sex with her and when she refused, he got angry then left the room, got a knife and stabbed her in the head several times, according to the report.
At one point, Wright put his hand over the victim's mouth to prevent her from breathing, police said.
Wright initially denied stabbing the victim, claiming that she showed up at his house with several stab wounds.
Eventually, police said Wright told them that he "snapped" during an argument with the victim and decided "she needed to die" and that "no one would miss her."
Wright thought stabbing the victim would be like a "hot knife through butter" but when he realized it was harder than he thought he decided to try to "snuff her out" by putting his hands over her mouth, according to the affidavit.
When police asked if Wright wanted to write an apology letter, he declined and instead asked that the victim be sent flowers.
Wright is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bail on an attempted first-degree murder charge.
