Baby, man suspected of killing mother both found

OCALA, Fla. – The mother of a baby found safe after an Amber Alert was discovered dead at a home Wednesday morning, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The main suspect in the case is in custody, deputies say.

Deputies said they began investigating when they received a call from a family member who was concerned for 20-year-old Kiara Alleyene's safety. Deputies said when they arrived at her home on 78th Lane in Anthony, they found her dead and her 11-month-old daughter, Jhene Clark, missing.

Detectives received information that Deangelo Clark, 30, had made comments about wanting to kill Alleyene and himself, according to a news release.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert for the child and cautioned the public that the she could be with Clark. The Amber Alert was canceled at about 8 a.m. when the baby was found safe with a family member.

Clark is considered a suspect in Alleyene's death, according to detectives. He was located in Monroe County, which includes the Florida Keys, hours after deputies found the victim. Authorities said Clark was taken into law enforcement custody and will be transported back to Marion County.

"Deangelo Clark is considered a suspect in this homicide," Cecelia Koon, with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, said.
