FHP: Driver of Ford Explorer had medical seizure

ORLANDO, Fla. – Six people have been taken to the hospital after a Lynx bus was involved in a crash, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

The crash was reported at Silver Star Road and Hastings Street just after 8 a.m.

Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the Ford Explorer had a medical seizure before crashing into the Lynx bus.

Both drivers of the vehicle and bus, along with four bus passengers were taken to the hospital, troopers said.

Orange County Fire Rescue said it was assessing five patients and six have been transported to area hospitals. Their conditions were unknown.

Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 flew over the scene where two lanes of Silver Star Road were blocked off as authorities investigated.

Charges are pending against the driver of the Ford SUV, as the driver's license was medically revoked on Aug. 7, 2014 and was driving without a valid license.

The investigation is ongoing.
