WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – A pizza delivery driver was pistol-whipped during an armed robbery at a shopping plaza Friday afternoon, according to the Winter Garden Police Department.
The victim said he was behind Hungry Howie's on South Dillard Street shortly after noon when a man he knows approached him and demanded his tips, authorities said.

When the victim refused, the suspect hit him repeatedly with a gun, causing the firearm to discharge, police said. A bullet struck the building.
The victim drove away from the suspect and was later taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, a news release said.
The victim and suspect have not yet been publicly identified.
