Downed power lines prompt SunRail delays

Power lines knocked over in crash, officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – SunRail service was delayed after officials say power lines were down on the train tracks in downtown Orlando.

Florida Department of Transportation officials said the downed power lines were caused by a crash on Colonial Drive near the tracks.

The Orlando Police Department said the vehicle hit the power pole on Colonial Drive and the power lines are down on the tracks.

SunRail sent out a tweet saying "All northbound trains are delayed at least by 90 minutes due to police activity."

CSX trains were also affected by the crash and all trains were suspended. Just before 6 p.m., trains began rolling again.

No injuries were reported.
