KEY WEST, Fla. – An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale and centered off the northern coast of Cuba was reportedly felt in the Florida Keys.
WPLG reports the earthquake occurred at 3:57 PM about 110 miles southeast of Key West.

National Weather Service alerts said that there was no tsunami warning being issued for Key West.
According to Earthquake-Report.com, the tremor was felt by someone in Marathon who said they felt a "very light rumbling for approx. 10-15 seconds."
The Boca Raton Police Department even sent out a Tweet about the earthquake saying may have felt it in their area.
A 5.0 earthquake is considered moderated and can cause damage of varying severity to poorly constructed buildings.
