FELLSMERE, Fla. – The largest frog leg festival in Florida is back again, serving up thousands of pounds of frog legs and gator.
The 34th annual Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival will kick off Thursday and run through Sunday.

The event offers free admission and parking. There will be free shuttles Saturday and Sunday, taking festivalgoers from Mesa Park to the festival and back.
While the food is the main event, there will be carnival rides available for purchase. There will also be live music throughout the event:
- Thursday
- Johnny Debt from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Dragon’s Breath from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday
- James Holler from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 3 O’Clock Storm 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Saturday
- Becks Brothers from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Doolin Dalton from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Fellsmere Elementary Music Club Performance from 3 p.m. to 4 pm..
- Chemistry from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- HI Mileage from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday
- Penny Creek Band from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Nexlevel from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
If you’re visiting to pick up dinner, there will be a drive-thru option available for cash purchases only. The drive-thru is located at 21 S. Cypress St.
The festival schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, Jan. 16, and Friday, Jan. 17: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 18: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, Jan. 19: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to the website, the event started in 1990 as a way to raise funds and it has grown ever since.
“Fellsmere has been proclaimed Frog Leg Capital of the World and The Frog Leg Festival holds 2 Guinness Book World Records for The Most Frog Legs served in the course of one business day and the Largest Frog Leg Festival in the world!” the website reads.
