News 6 political expert and UCF history professor Dr. Jim Clark joined anchor Justin Warmoth on “The Weekly on ClickOrlando.com” to break down the process and explain why whatever’s decided will likely end up in court.
“We have a situation here in Orlando, for example, where corporate Disney out of California has certain requirements, and now the legislature may say to ignore your boss,” Clark said. “I know Disney and Universal and these other companies have their lobbyists in Tallahassee to make sure this doesn’t end up in a court battle between Disney and Universal and the state of Florida.”
Another topic that’s scheduled to come up during the special session is redistricting after the first round of proposed maps were released by the Florida Senate.
