DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – New video shows the moments leading up to a motorcyclist nearly riding off Main Street Bridge in Daytona Beach.
According to police, a motorcyclist was eastbound around 10 a.m. Saturday when the biker ran through a traffic arm after it dropped into position to allow the drawbridge to rise.

In the video, you can see the driver was able to get off the motorcycle just before it went off the edge and dangled off the bridge. The driver told police he didn’t see the warning lights because he was trying to clear rain off his helmet shield.
Police said in a tweet that one of the traffic arms would need to be replaced. The bridge was closed Saturday morning but reopened in the afternoon following an inspection.
The driver was uninjured.
