Fatal shooting investigated at Residences at West Place Apartments

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was found shot to death Thursday night at an Orange County apartment complex, deputies said.

The fatal shooting was reported at 9:49 p.m. at the Residences at West Place Apartments at the 760 block of Sherwood Terrace Drive near Colonial Drive and Apopka-Vineland Road.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the complex and found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, deputies said.

Deputies identified the man as 23-year old Naam Prince. Deputies added they believe they have identified all parties involved, all of whom are cooperating with the investigation.

Investigators said no information is currently known about the assailant. OCSO said there is no broader threat to the community.

An investigation is ongoing.
