ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Police are investigating a homicide Monday evening that left a 42-year-old man dead, according to a release by the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
Police responded to the Lake Villas Condominiums near 126 Maitland Ave. Monday at about 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports about gunshots fired in one of the units, the release shows.

When officers arrived, they found 42-year-old William Burgs dead inside the unit, police said.
Detectives said they believe this is an isolated incident and that the suspect was known to Burgs. Investigators told News 6 that the suspect’s identity is being withheld as the investigation continues.
