At the same time, a sedan was heading east along Osceola Parkway, and the man walked into its direct path, troopers said. A crash report shows that the sedan tried to swerve, though the front right of the vehicle still struck the man.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers. The sedan driver remained uninjured, however, troopers said.
