‘Did I just get s*** on?:’ Bird crashes Daytona Beach wedding, poops on bride during vows

TikTok video shows moment when fowl party-pooper poops on party

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A wedding in Daytona Beach had an unfortunate accident after a passing bird pooped on the bride in the middle of her vows, according to wedding photographer Rob Chiola.

Video of the wedding was posted on Chiola’s TikTok under the account @chiolafilms.

The video shows the bride in the middle of saying her vows when she looks down and asks, “Did I just get s*** on?”

The groom then says, “I don’t know,” while laughing and patting at her shoulder, the video shows. As the attendees begin to laugh, the bride can be heard saying, “Are you kidding me?”

“It smells,” the groom then says, still laughing.

Chiola, the owner and operator of Chiola Films, told News 6 that another photographer, Michelle Shafer at Theiko Fos Studios, had recommended him for the wedding.

He was recording the marriage ceremony, though no one noticed that the bride had been the victim of a party pooper until she reacted, Chiola said.

“It was really hard to see, like, in person, because it was a bright sunny day, and bird poop is white,” Chiola said. “So we were kind of confused as to why she stopped, and then she started laughing, and they were rubbing her shoulder.”

Despite the wedding faux pas, Chiola said the bride and the groom took it like champs.

“They just kept repeating that it’s good luck. ‘It’s good luck, it’s good luck,’” Chiola said. “Yeah, so they were just so happy and excited to be married. They weren’t gonna let anything get in their way of that happiness, so they just spun it as a good sign.”

Chiola also made sure to mention that he received the couple’s permission before sharing the clip online.
