BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Huge plumes of smoke could be seen near Merritt Island on Tuesday after a 1900-acre prescribed fire was held within a nearby wildlife refuge, according to Brevard County Emergency Management.
BCEM stated on social media that the fire took place within the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge.
