FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A beached whale that washed up on the shore in Flagler County last week has died, Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute said in a tweet on Tuesday.
The Brevard-based nonprofit responded to Gamble Rogers Park in Flagler Beach to help the 15-foot beaked whale.
The institute said it hopes further testing will reveal the cause of the stranding.

Unfortunately, the animal did not survive. We hope further testing will reveal the cause of the stranding. pic.twitter.com/Plv4AGK7Nh
