Missing Florida woman, 72, found safe after failing to show up at Daytona Beach airport

PALM COAST, Fla. – A missing 72-year-old woman who was supposed to pick up her daughter at Daytona Beach International Airport but never arrived Sunday has been found safe, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office posted online.

Nancy Walgis, who had last been heard from around 3 p.m. Sunday as she was leaving her home on Village View Way in Palm Coast, “has been located and is no longer missing,” deputies posted Monday on X (formerly Twitter).

“She is safe and sound,” the sheriff’s office said without offering any other details about her recovery.
