OVIEDO, Fla. – A redevelopment plan for the Oviedo Mall has taken another step forward.
The Oviedo City Council voted unanimously Monday night to hold a public hearing next month on the proposed community known as “Oviedo Marketplace.”
The proposal includes 360 residential units, a hotel with 124 rooms and 127,000-square-feet of retail space on the site of the former Macy’s.
Initial plans called for a senior living community, but the city voted last year to remove age restrictions.
The hearing is set for Dec. 4.
