OCOEE, Fla. – A vehicle believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of an Army veteran at an Ocoee gas station last month has been located, according to the police department.
Gregory C. Reed, 60, was shot multiple times at a Circle K near Clarke Road and Silver Star Road.
Ocoee police said on Thursday, “We believe we have located the vehicle involved,” but did not say anything else about the case. Investigators said previously the suspect vehicle is a silver or white Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Reed’s daughter, Diedre Anderson, and his cousin, Tyrone Scott, pleaded to the public last month for information in Reed’s death.
“My dad was simply minding his business, going to work, getting off, going to take care of my siblings. He was not doing anything to anybody,” Anderson said. “He loved his family, he loved his kids, he took care of his kids, he sacrificed a lot.”
Scott asked for help and said, “We need a resolution to solve this case.”
“For somebody to hurt this man like they did, it is wrong. He didn’t deserve that. He deserved to be here today, and I am mad that he has to be taken like that, from somebody being selfish, to hurt an innocent man, it is wrong,” Scott said.
Video showed a person or people inside the Mercedes-Benz SUV open fire, hitting Reed’s vehicle. In the video, you can see Reed driving off before police said he ended up crashing into a car at a nearby Publix.
“We believe there may have been some kind of verbal exchange prior to witnesses hearing the gunshots,” Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi said.
No arrest has been made.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a suspect. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Ocoee detectives at 407-905-3160 or Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477 to remain anonymous.
