ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Neighbors along Dianjo Drive want answers after a home caught on fire and a man was found dead — all within a day.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office did not provide many details Thursday, but deputies said the investigation is ongoing after a man was found shot to death in the 2600 block of Dianjo Drive early Wednesday morning.
Later that evening, Orange County Fire Rescue responded to the same street for a fire. Neighbors told News 6 that both incidents happened at the same house.
One man who lived near the home said, “A shooting or whatever in the morning and then a fire at night.”

News 6′s Brian Didlake asked, “And this all happened at the same house?”
The man replied yes, and another woman News 6 spoke to said that the same home on Dianjo Drive had prior calls to service.
Orange County deputies have not connected the fire to the shooting but have identified the victim as 48-year-old Stanley Scott.
“All of this in like a day and a half... two days, it’s like crazy,” said Joe Rozzo, who lives near the home where the fire happened. He told News 6 his neighbors heard shots.
Rozzo said, “There was a car outside and she saw somebody running out of the house after she heard the shots, jumped in a car, and left.”
Rozzo said that from there, deputies showed up later that night and found Scott dead, and then later that day, the fire happened.
But Rozzo added that there is yet another issue his community faces because if you look past the now burnt-down home, you can see people living inside tents.
“Needless to say, neighbors in this neighborhood are not very happy about that,” said Rozzo.
News 6′s Brian Didlake asked, “And police have never addressed that?”
Rozzo replied, “No, they have, but because (the homeowner) owned the house, their hands were tied.”
New 6 cameras captured two people going to the tent area. One man told News 6 off-camera he knew the homeowner and often stayed over.
“We’ve called code enforcement because of how bad things were there... It takes time. It’s a process,” said Rozzo.
News 6 has reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office asking how many calls to service this home had, and what led to both Scott being found shot to death and later the fire.
