Here are the Central Florida holiday events canceled or postponed due to wicked weather

Severe weather expected to strike this weekend

With heavy winds and rain expected to rail Central Florida over the weekend, several holiday events across the region have been canceled or postponed.

The worst of the weather is forecasted to be between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, so events in that timeframe are likely to be impacted.

The list of impacted events is as follows:

  • FunSpot America - Orlando, Kissimmee
    • Orlando and Kissimmee parks closing early Saturday. Rides will close at 5 p.m. and the arcade will close at 8 p.m.
  • Jollyood Nights - Lake Buena Vista
    • Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been canceled for Saturday, Dec. 16. Tickets for the event will automatically be refunded to the payment type used for purchase in 7-10 days, Disney said.
    • Volcano Bay water park will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17, due to inclement weather. For park updates, please call 407-817-8317 or stay tuned to Universal Orlando’s social channels.

    • Canceled
    • The event was canceled on Saturday, Dec. 16. Guests with tickets for this date can reschedule or receive a refund by clicking here.
  • Jingle Jam - Sanford
    • Canceled
  • Brevard Boat Parade - Satellite Beach
    • Postponed, rescheduled date to be decided
  • Jingle Bell 2-Miler - Satellite Beach
    • The weather is being monitored. Any changes will be announced on Facebook before the event.
  • Gopher Tortoise Day - Satellite Beach
    • Postponed, rescheduled date to be decided
  • Grom Fest - Satellite Beach
    • Postponed, rescheduled date to be decided
  • Santa Run - Winter Garden
    • Postponed, rescheduled to Dec. 18
  • Santa’s Wonderland - Winter Garden
    • Closed on Saturday
  • Light Up Central Winds! - Winter Springs
    • Canceled
