OCALA, Fla. – Ocala police announced on Friday they are still searching for the suspect in last month’s Paddock Mall shooting, with the reward money increasing to $20,000.

While the Ocala Police Department offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Albert Shell Jr, 39, the Florida Sheriff’s Association is now offering an additional $5,000, police said.

Shell is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and attempted premeditated first-degree murder stemming from a shooting at the Paddock Mall on Dec. 23, which killed 40-year-old David Barron.

Police said they believe that Shell had specifically targeted Barron, though a woman was also struck by gunfire during the shooting.
