ORLANDO, Fla. – Many are mourning after a man — a father, brother and mentor — was killed.
Terry Rivers, 35, was fatally shot in downtown Orlando early Sunday morning.
According to police, a vehicle had crashed into a parking garage along South Orange Avenue, and Rivers was found in the driver’s seat. He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
His cousin, Tasha Roundtree, said his death not only impacted their family — but the community, as well.

“His death didn’t just affect his friends. It didn’t just affect you and his family, but there are people in the community that are actually hurting because he’s not here,” she said.
Rivers was the president of a non-profit called “Process of Revision.”
According to Roundtree, he was also the father of five children, a businessman, and a chef.
He was in the process of opening a food truck called Blazzin Trill, ready to put his culinary arts skills to good use.
Now, Roundtree is asking why someone would take her cousin’s life. She also has a message for whoever is responsible.
“I’m livid. I’m upset. I want justice...” she told News 6. “You need to make peace with God and turn yourself in.”
Orlando police are still searching for the shooter in Rivers’ death. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
