ORLANDO, Fla.Orlando International Airport has introduced an all-new reserve parking program, providing passengers with the convenience of securing a parking spot in advance ahead of their travels.

The airport said the new program is in response to increased traffic, particularly from local residents, who now constitute 30% of airport passengers—up from 20% a decade ago.

To alleviate parking pressures, the airport last month opened new surface lots, offering over 2,000 additional spaces accessible via E-Pass and SunPass Plus.

“This is a perfect example of our strategic plan in action, which focuses on innovation to meet demand and our customers’ needs,” said Kevin J. Thibault, chief executive officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Having the option to secure parking in advance can help more passengers to experience a seamless journey.”

The Reserve Parking initiative, currently available in Garage C on Level 4, allows passengers to log in via Reserved Parking at MCO or the MCO mobile app, input vehicle details, make a payment, and receive a QR code for swift access.

With approximately 715 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis, the airport said the program carries a daily cost of $32. If successful, plans include expanding the initiative to other airport parking facilities, leaders said in a news release. Reservations can be made up to 365 days in advance, with a 24-hour cancellation policy and a 50% forfeiture fee for late cancellations.

This user-friendly program caters to all travelers, including Brightline train passengers, and is open to future enhancements, such as replication in Terminal Top parking, North Park Place, South Park Place, and West Park Place economy parking.
