VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Daytona Beach man was arrested on Tuesday on accusations that he had sex with a 13-year-old girl, according to the Port Orange Police Department.
In an arrest affidavit, police said that the man — identified as Anthony Rimini, 24 — had reportedly been having sex with the girl between October 2023 and Jan. 19, 2024.

The girl told police that the first “occasion” happened around midnight in October, during which time Rimini came to her home while her parents were asleep and began watching television with her, the affidavit shows.
However, he then allegedly began “rolling a marijuana blunt” and getting “touchy” with the girl, police said.

Detectives explained that the girl had marijuana and alcohol with Rimini before the two engaged in sexual activity.
According to the girl, Rimini returned to her home frequently since that incident, and he continued to sexually batter her each time, detectives added.
Investigators said that they were able to obtain a conversation between Rimini and the girl on the social media app Discord.
Those messages show that Rimini was coming to meet the girl on Jan. 19, and Rimini discussed buying her a pregnancy test after she brought up the possibility.
Rimini was ultimately arrested and faces charges of lewd and lascivious battery against a minor, traveling to meet a minor, and using a computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child.
He is held without bond.
