The monthly subscription service will send subscribers a bag of beans from a different local coffee roaster each month.

“Some [roasters] are attached to cafes, for example, we have we have places like Lineage or Credo,” said Jared Tucker, the owner of Orlando Coffee Club, “But then we also have people who that’s their main focus: [roasting] coffee.”

Through the service, Tucker says subscribers would be able to try unique coffee blends and support local businesses who are happy for the business.

“Every single roaster approached was excited,” Tucker said, “There’s this sense of collaboration. Like we get to do that, we’re going to be able to highlight our coffee, but we’re also going to be hyping up and highlighting some of our friends”.

Coffee club members won’t just have access to unique coffee blends, but will be invited to a variety of coffee-based activities across Orlando.

After working and enjoying the coffee scene for several years, Tucker was looking for ways to bring together and celebrate not just the coffee, but the community around it. He said it inspired him to create the Orlando Coffee Culture Instagram account.

“I wanted to create an Instagram where I wanted to be able to get to know my baristas and the people that were making the coffee that I was ordering. But I also wanted people who followed along to also see that potential joy and connection,” Tucker said.

The account now touts 3,350 followers on Instagram, and hosts events and meetups at cafes across Central Florida.

“Without each person in the chain of coffee, we wouldn’t have the product,” Tucker said, “Even without the consumer coffee brings people together and connects them and so we’re going to be providing opportunities for members to connect.”

There is no deadline to sign up for the Orlando Coffee Club, it costs $25 a month to join. You can learn more here.
