DeLAND, Fla. – Volusia County detectives on Tuesday arrested a man accused of selling drugs to a woman who died of a suspected overdose fewer than 48 hours prior.
Nathan LeBeau, 23, of DeLand, was taken into custody after being lured to an undercover deal set up by members of the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Overdose Task Force, deputies said on social media.

The task force began investigating LeBeau on Monday after the 23-year-old woman died at a Deltona hospital early that morning, the sheriff’s office said. The post identified LeBeau as “the dealer,” claiming deputies recovered fentanyl pills from him that had been pressed to imitate oxycodone.
When a search warrant was executed at LeBeau’s residence on Oak Park Drive, investigators said they found “trafficking amounts of fentanyl,” as well as alprazolam, psilocybin and a pill crusher.
LeBeau faces charges of possession of heroin with intent to sell; unlawful use of a two-way communication device; possession of paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver; trafficking in fentanyl from 4 to 14 grams; and possession of a hallucinogen with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, records show.
He’s being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail on no bond.
