WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. – Two men stole thousands from a Brink’s truck driver loading money into an ATM in Brevard County, police said.
An affidavit states the driver making the delivery on Jan. 8 to the Chase Bank at the Hammock Landing shopping center in West Melbourne told police she felt somebody behind her.
The driver said one man pulled out a box cutter, and the other stole $14,000.
“It was an armed robbery with a knife -- of the Brink’s truck,” a dispatcher told police over the radio.

Police said one of the robbers was Qua’Shaun McClinton, 22, of Orlando.
Police said they identified McClinton from cameras on the ATM and the Brink’s truck.
“Mr. McClinton, you are here on a charge of robbery with a deadly weapon, which is a felony punishable by life,” Judge Katie Jacobus told the suspect.
McClinton was booked in jail without bond, and on Thursday, Jacobus decided to keep him in jail without bond.
“It is a robbery, and it’s a dangerous crime,” Assistant State Attorney Donald Loughran said. “The state thinks that no bond is appropriate.”
Police said they also tracked down McClinton by the car he was in. Detectives said the car was rented in Ocoee, 80 miles from West Melbourne, via the website Turo.
Police on Thursday did not say whether they’ve also caught the second suspect or if any of the money had been recovered.
