‘Sexually violent predator’ wanted in Pennsylvania. He could be hiding in Florida

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A “sexually violent predator” wanted in Pennsylvania could be in Florida, according to the DeLand Police Department on Wednesday.

In a release, detectives said the predator — identified as Barry Bostwick, 60 — was convicted for several counts of deviate sexual intercourse with a child.

However, Bostwick failed to appear for sentencing on Sept. 14, 2023, sparking a search for his whereabouts, the release shows.

Police said Bostwick could potentially be in Florida, as he “has ties to the Ocala and Daytona Beach area.”

Anyone with information on Bostwick’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Perry County Sheriff’s Office at (717) 582-5123.
