According to an arrest report, the victim told law enforcement they believed more than 30 gunshots came from a nearby street. The victim also stated that while on the phone with dispatch, the suspect continued firing shots and heard someone yell at the suspect to “stop shooting” because there were children around.
After deputies were led to a nearby home at Sailfish Avenue, they spotted Manzanet naked and crawling out of a window on the side of the home while holding a handgun.
The arrest report also stated that video recorded earlier that day showed Manzanet pointing a black handgun out of the window of his room while yelling, “Hello. Don’t move, don’t do it”, and that Manzanet believed people were trying to break into his home and shoot him.
While investigating Manzanet’s home, deputies found several handgun shell casings in his room and bullet holes in the door and the wall facing the targeted home.
Manzanet faces multiple charges including using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, unlawful discharge of a firearm and drug possession.
