ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man arrested Wednesday by Orange County deputies is accused of fatally stabbing his partner’s ex-boyfriend at a park during a fight the day prior, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said they responded around 4 p.m. Tuesday to Barber Park, in the 3700 block of Gatlin Avenue, regarding a fight.

According to a news release, a man was located with serious injuries and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified Wednesday as Jose Gonzalez, 43, the sheriff’s office said.
Also on Wednesday, deputies announced an arrest had been made in Gonzalez’s death. Gabriel Rosas, 37, is accused of stabbing Gonzalez in the neck and faces a charge of second-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said on Tuesday that the initial investigation indicated this was a targeted incident. Elaborating Wednesday, the sheriff’s office described Rosas as the current boyfriend of Gonzalez’s ex, with whom he shares a child, specifying the stabbing resulted from a physical altercation between Rosas and Gonzalez.
No other information was released.
The incident remains under investigation.
