Two new Publix stores will be coming to Central Florida later this month, according to the grocery chain’s website.

Publix officials announced that the stores will be opened at the following locations:

Another store will be coming to South Florida, as well.

That location is set to open at 19050 Corkscrew Road in Estero, situated in Lee County.

All three stores are planned to open on April 18, and each will feature a pharmacy inside. In addition, the Melbourne and Estero locations will also have a liquor store.

However, the Oviedo location will be slightly larger, sitting at nearly 55,000 square feet — as opposed to the 48-387-square-footage of the other two stores.

Last month, two new Publix locations came to Central Florida as the chain continues to expand. Both of those stores opened up in Orlando.

Several of the locations that opened in Florida recently have featured upstairs seating, allowing guests to dine on the second floor. However, no information was provided about whether the upcoming locations will have this feature, too.

While many Florida Publix stores have a signature scale to let customers weigh themselves or their groceries, the new stores will not include them, Publix officials confirmed last month.

Publix officials told News 6 that the scales’ manufacturer — Mettler Toledo — stopped making them a few years ago.

“The manufacturer ceased production in 2015, meaning that one day — although our wonderful repair shop keeps our remaining machines in great shape — the last Publix scale will retire,” Publix wrote. “When scales are taken out of a store, they go for a spruce-up in our repair shop. They could wind up going to another store, or they may be held for parts to utilize in other scales.”
