MELBOURNE, Fla. – A power outage Tuesday morning impacted the air conditioning system at Johnson Middle School in Melbourne, prompting classes to be canceled, according to the school district.
Brevard Public Schools said the power is back on at the school, but repairs need to be made to the air conditioning system.

As a result, the school canceled classes in order for repairs to be made “to have a proper learning environment.”
Officials later said the air conditioning has been fixed and the school will reopen with normal hours on Wednesday.
