This area of low pressure has been producing a small but persistent area of showers and thunderstorms to the east of its center pretty much all day long.
The good news is that heading into tonight and Thursday, as it moves southwest around 10-15 mph, the low will move into an area of strong upper-level winds which will prevent any further development.
The National Hurricane Center has given the area highlighted a 10% chance of development over the next 48 hours.
Hurricane season officially begins on June 1.
