PALM BAY, Fla. – A 20-year-old was shot to death in Palm Bay, prompting a police investigation.
The fatal shooting happened overnight in the 2000 block of Washington Street NE, Palm Bay police posted to social media on Friday.

According to police, officers responded to the scene after shots were heard in the area and found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers performed life-saving measures, but the man died from his injuries, police said.
An investigation is underway, but no other details about the shooting have been released.
