First look, new details revealed for drone show coming to Disney Springs

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Images of Baymax, Peter Pan, and Dumbo will soon take to the skies and dazzle onlookers at Walt Disney World.

Disney unveiled footage from a recent test flight in France of “Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T,” a new nighttime drone show coming to Disney Springs. Choreographed through 800 state-of-the-art drones, guests will see designs from fan-favorite films come to life.

The innovative experience is the first of several new, limited-time entertainment offerings debuting this summer. The drone show will also be free for the public to watch.

“We’re doing this on such a grand scale that it’s a first for us of this size of show in the sky,” said Tom Vazzana, Creative Director at Walt Disney World Resort.

The show will also feature scores from beloved Disney soundtracks and an original song composed exclusively for this show. The nine-minute display will be shown twice each night above Disney Springs, offering the perfect ending to a day at the shopping, dining, and entertainment complex.

The drone show runs from May 24 - Sept. 2 and showtimes will vary. Guests are encouraged to check the Disney Springs schedule beforehand.
