LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Country Bear Jamboree is an original attraction that opened with the Magic Kingdom in 1971, and when Grizzly Hall reopens this summer, the stage show will have new music as well as new wardrobes.
Disney revealed a behind-the-”seams” look at Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah’s new costumes. Known as the Sun Bonnet Trio, the singing girl bears are ditching their turquoise bonnets for a bright pink look featuring cowboy hats, ruffled skits, and rhinestoned vests and wrist cuffs.

Although Disney has not confirmed, it also appears the bears themselves will be different with a new facial design and new fur.
The classic attraction starring 18 audio-animatronics bears closed earlier this year and will reopen as the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, a toe-tappin’ extravaganza that pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville. The show will feature new, reinterpreted Disney melodies spanning various genres of country music – from bluegrass to pop country, Americana to rockabilly, and many more.

As for the main bears, the release of an attraction poster last year confirmed a notable name change. The controversial Liver Lips McGrowl will be renamed to Romeo McGrowl.
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree isn’t the only Frontierland attraction that will reopen this summer after a transformation. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes over the former site of Splash Mountain and is set to open on June 28.
