PLANT CITY, Fla. – A 30-year-old man set himself on fire Wednesday inside a Publix in Plant City, police said.
The Plant City Police Department said officers were called around 6:30 p.m. about a disturbance inside the store on James L. Redman Parkway.

According to police, a caller said the man set himself on fire.
Others extinguished the flames, and the man was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, police said.
Plant City Fire Rescue took the man to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
It’s not known what led to the incident.
Police and the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services are investigating.
