On Thursday morning on Breakfast with Bridgett, Amanda Kelkenberg, CEO of Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County, shared exciting news about an initiative promoting literacy and learning popping up all over the area this summer.

They are interactive learning installations called Early Learn Hubs.

As she explained, these hubs delight parents and children alike to take a moment out of their busy day to play and learn.

“When we think about raising children today and everybody being so busy, just to go to the local laundry and not have to carry toys and carry books with you,” she said.

The convenience of their locations right in the midst of their busy everyday paths helps increase opportunities to learn for young children across the county.

“I love earlier you mentioned summer slide, it happens even with younger children. It’s a great opportunity in the community to just reinforce literacy skills that the children are gaining everyday,” Kelkenberg said.
