Handling conflicts and disagreements in the workplace

Workplace conflict is growing

ORLANDO, Fla. – The struggle for better work-life balance is real.

Studies show that 85% of workers have experienced some time of conflict in the workplace. On Wednesday, Deirdre McCarthy Gallagher, a dispute resolution services provider from Jams Pathways, joined the Breakfast With Bridgett.

McCarthy Gallagher talked about an uptick in workplace conflict because of several factors: summertime vacations, politics, changing workflow models, and more.

“We’re also seeing conflicts around inclusion. Whose voices are prioritized? How are they prioritized? What is the forum to make those voices heard?” said McCarthy Gallagher. “We’re also seeing conflicts around psychological safety. So folks who have challenges with things that are happening at work, where can they go to raise their concerns and do they feel safe in doing so.”
