Firefighter injured as burning workshop extinguished in Flagler County, fire department says

Crews respond to 600 block of E. Favoretta Road

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A firefighter suffered minor injuries as crews responded to a burning workshop Saturday morning near Palm Coast, according to Flagler County Fire Rescue.

Units from at least three county fire stations, as well as an engine with the Palm Coast Fire Department, responded around 7:20 a.m. to the 600 block of E. Favoretta Road, reporting a workshop fully engulfed in flames, the fire department said on social media.

Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and extinguish it, the post states. The firefighter who was injured was taken to a hospital for treatment, the department said.

The cause of the fire had not been determined at the time of this report.
