EUSTIS, Fla. – A launch ramp on a lake in Eustis was forced to temporarily close due to a nearby burning boat, according to officials.
The south side boat ramps at 517 Lakeshore Drive were closed as firefighters responded to the scene, police said on social media around 2 p.m. Sunday, asking the public to avoid the area.
A Lake County spokesperson said in a statement that the boat on fire was on the lake a short distance away from the ramp itself.
One patient was taken to the hospital for treatment, according to the county. The nature and extent of their injuries were not described.
